AgriMetis Expands by Adding to its Lab Personnel

LUTHERVILLE, MD, September 2, 2017 – AgriMetis continues to expand its internal laboratory capabilities and team by the addition of Lauren Dorsey as a Research Associate.

Ms. Dorsey followed a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park with a Master of Engineering in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Delaware. She has bridged the disciplines of biochemistry and chemical engineering with several different projects, including metabolic engineering, process analytical method development, and biomedical diagnostic tool development.

Dr. Nadya Pavlova, Senior Research Scientist, said, “AgriMetis has had the benefit of working with Lauren as an intern for the last several months, and we are pleased that she has joined us full time.”

AgriMetis’ scientific approach of combining chemistry, biochemistry, and biology is multidisciplinary and integrated, which allows it to exploit areas of chemical space and production routes that are inaccessible to others. Brian Green, Vice President of Research and Development of AgriMetis, said: “Adding Lauren, with her chemical engineering expertise, will allow AgriMetis’ internal laboratory team to deliver on aspects of chemical engineering that previously required outside contractors.”
