AgriMetis Expands by Adding an Associate Director of Process Chemistry

LUTHERVILLE, MD – August 14, 2018 – AgriMetis, LLC is pleased to announce that Dr. Rachel Witek has joined the company as its Associate Director of Process Chemistry. Rachel will lead AgriMetis’ process development and scale-up efforts on the SpinoMetis™ program. Rachel will also support the company’s efforts in L-Glufosinate process and scale-up under the direction of Matt Oberholzer, VP of Process Technology.

Rachel comes to AgriMetis with ten years of process research, development and scale-up experience with the last seven years spent in the biotech industry. In her most recent role, Rachel implemented several successful manufacturing process transfers of multiple product lines to new production sites and was instrumental to the development and commercialization of several cell, PCR, and media products for a multinational biotech company. Prior to that role, Rachel worked in a multinational agrochemical company and was responsible for research and development of synthetic routes, scale up and process transfer to manufacturing site for a crop protection safener.
